Welcome
to the official site for Stonewall Reception II!
6/30-7/2/06
(7/14) I finally got around to posting Rob Chapman's photos from Stonewall. You can view them by going here. I still have to sort through Fatima's photos and get them up on the server. So stay tuned for those, there's some sweet shots there for sure! (7/14) If you missed out on the posters at Stonewall, you can purchase one now from here. If you want more then one let me know and we can combine shipping charges to save you some money. Orders will also include a few extra goodies! (7/14) I am so sorry for the delay, it took me a while to come down from Stonewall. I can't thank everyone enough for coming up and lighting the place up with yourselves. It was a great crowd and some great musicians! I really can't thank you all enough. I hope we can all share such a time again somewhere. (6/27) Though our good friends at Vermont Pepper Works are unable to make it to Stonewall (again), they have mailed off a large supply of sauces for our guests to enjoy. Make sure you get a taste of each of their quality flavors, they truly are some of the best hot sauces on the market today. For more info on VPW check out their web site: vermontpepperworks (6/26) We've had to make a few time changes to the schedule and unfortunately cancel one of the acts. Fatslope will no longer be playing on Saturday on the acoustic stage. It's alright tho, because you can catch Slopey on both Friday night and Saturday afternoon on the electric stage. To see the revised schedule go here. (6/26) Any tickets purchased after 6/23 will be held at the wristband booth. Tickets will be held in the name of the person on the paypal account or check used to purchase the ticket(s). (6/16) Fatima Hurd has been dedicated to the art of photography for over 10 years. With a degree in photography from Salem State College she has made a career of her talents. She has a keen eye when it comes to capturing the beauty of nature. That same eye for nature carries over into her human studies. She tends to capture the fleeting moments that most of us over look. We couldn't be happier to have Fatima on site to capture this years event. (6/15) Unfortunately our good friend Max was not able to commit to blow glass for us this year. There's a small chance he may still make it up for the festivities, so keep your fingers crossed. Fortunately Max has found us a very competent substitute. Fresh off the bus and ready to dazzle us with his craft, Keith Engelmann will be our on site glass blower! Keith was actually the driving force behind Max taking up the torch. So we are very excited to add him to the fold. So don't forget to bring a little extra green so you can buy that someone special a unique piece of glass art. (6/11) A map of our property has been posted. Some of you will recognize it from last year. One or two points of interest may be different this year but for the most part the map is accurate. We'll have several copies on site, but if you want to print a copy to bring with you feel free. You can check it out Here. (6/6) For those of you who purchased your tickets before June 6th, they have been mailed. If you were part of the first 25 ticket buyers, your posters were also shipped out. If you were part of the first 25, and you purchased more then 2 tickets, your tickets and posters were mailed separately. Thanks again to all who have purchased their tickets in advance! (6/5) We got the tickets back from the printer and we're real happy with how they came out. You can take a peak Here. (6/4) The following items will not be allowed at Stonewall:
(6/4) We've added 2 acts to the acoustic stage line up. Slimjam and Fatslope will start things off on Saturday. They will each play for about 40 minutes starting at noon with Slimjam. To learn more about these two groups check out The Bands page. (5/22)
Thanks to all who purchased their tickets early. We have sold over 25
tickets, so our poster give away is over. Not to fret though, the poster
will be available at the show for just $5. And you can still save $5 on
your ticket price if you buy your tickets in advance from The
Scoop page. (5/14) We will be giving the first 25 ticket buyers a free event poster. Get your tickets now before this offer is history. To get a sneak peak at this years event poster click here. (5/12) We couldn't be more excited to announce the addition of RAQ to this years festival! They are sure to take our humble event to the next level. Learn more about RAQ on The Bands page. (5/1) Lead guitarist for 3 Ply, James Georges, has had to back out of playing this years event. With a new born baby to attend to it's just too much to pull off. Fortunately, the remaining players of 3 Ply are going to pull a set together under the name Zubru. Check out The Bands page for more information on the arrangement. (4/20) Last year we debated whether we wanted a band to play on Friday night or not. We ended up playing a DVD of Phish's Shoreline 2000 performance on a large screen. Though it was great to see the girls on stage doing the meatstick (thanks Rachel and Heidi) we've decided on live music this year. C.O.S. n FX will be setting up on the big stage soon after sun down and playing until their done. What better reason do you need to show up Friday night as opposed to Saturday? Learn more about C.O.S. n FX on The Bands page. (3/10) This years event is in the early stages of planning. There's still many details to be worked out, but we do have a date! Please take a minute, grab a fat sharpie and put a big SWR2 on the weekend of July 1st. If you've already got something written there, then the sharpie should do a good job of covering it. You can always blame us when you fail to show up for your siblings wedding (birthday/Bar Mitzvah/graduation/bris or what have you). We've also made a decision about the music. Rather then jump from acoustic stage to electric stage and back (and fourth), we're going to do it a bit different. The day will start on the acoustic stage around noon and continue there for 3 or 4 acts in a row. Then as the suns about to go down we'll shift the music to the electric stage and stay there for the rest of the night and into the wee hours of the morning. We've also decided to cut down on the number of performers. Not that we had any problem with the line up last year. In fact we loved every bit of it (even Collapsing Point!). It was just too much of a good thing. It was a lot of work getting all that gear down to the big stage, it was a lot of work setting up and breaking down all that gear. And the bands didn't get to play as long as they wanted. By cutting down the number of acts, we hope to alleviate some of the work and give the performers who do play, a chance to really stretch out. Even though we're a few months away from being Stonewalled, it's not too early to get your tickets (and this year we're actually printing tickets!). Click on over to The Scoop page where you can get as many as 4 tickets. Save $5 on each ticket if you purchase them before June 30th. And please check back often for updates. |
